Personal Bio:

Mary Catherine grew up in Richmond County, North Carolina before attending Wake Forest University as an undergraduate student. While at Wake Forest, Mary Catherine was an accomplished student, a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, a member of the Wake Forest cheerleading team, and was crowned Homecoming Queen of WFU her senior year. Mary Catherine graduated from Wake Forest cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology and Religion with a concentration in Religion and Public Engagement.

Following graduation, Mary Catherine attended Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While in law school, Mary Catherine served as a student ambassador, peer mentor, President of Christian Legal Society, and was an advancing advocate on the Campbell Law Moot Court team. Coached by Federal Magistrate Judge, Zac Bolitho, Mary Catherine competed in several moot court competitions and won best oral advocate for the School of the Appeal at the Academy of the Advocate in St. Andrews, Scotland.

Prior to joining Van Camp, Meacham & Newman, PLLC, Mary Catherine practiced family law at Gailor Hunt Davis Taylor & Gibbs, PLLC in Raleigh, NC and clerked at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for the Honorable Jefferson Griffin.

Outside of practicing law, Mary Catherine enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, being involved in church, and exercising at Burn Boot Camp.
